A catch-all e-mailbox is one that captures all the email messages sent to inactive addresses. For example, if your email address is info@domain.com, but somebody mistypes it and sends a message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have configured. Only one single mailbox per domain can have this feature activated and in this way you will never miss messages because the other side has an out-of-date email address or has made a spelling mistake. The negative aspect of configuring a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving lots of unsolicited bulk messages, but this problem can be resolved using an anti-spam filtering solution. It is also important to know that a mailbox with an enabled catch-all feature cannot forward inbound emails to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Website Hosting

If you host a domain on our cloud platform and you have a shared website hosting account, you will be able to enable the catch-all functionality for any mailbox that you create under the domain. The Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section includes quite a lot of features, but it is exceptionally easy to use, so creating a catch-all mailbox requires only one click of the mouse. All the email addresses that you have will be enumerated in this section in alphabetical order and you’ll only need to click the "Catch-all" button for the specific address. Our system will notify you if there is already another catch-all mailbox activated for that domain name or if the one that you want to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding enabled, so you can either deactivate the latter feature or pick a different mailbox. Deactivating the catch-all option is just as simple and requires one more click on the exact same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

A catch-all address can be set up with several clicks if you have a Linux semi-dedicated hosting with us. The hosting account will be administered through our custom-developed Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you will be able to create mailboxes with any domain registered there. To enable the catch-all option for a particular mailbox, you will need to click the logo with the same name, which will be next to each email address. Disabling the feature can be achieved in the very same manner and will not take more than one click either. In case a catch-all mailbox has already been enabled for a specific domain, you will receive a notification. The same is valid if the mailbox that you would like to be a catch-all one has email forwarding enabled, as our system will never deactivate or replace any feature automatically.
